West Hempstead school district celebrated homecoming Saturday, Sept. 30 with a halftime ceremony honoring the 1973 Rams varsity football team, which won the school’s first Nassau County championship. The 2023 Rams suffered a 28-10 loss to Oyster Bay, and ran canceled the traditional parade, but spirits were still high as the marching band provided music while the cheerleaders helped to promote school spirit during the game.
