38 inducted in Art Honor Society

W.C. Mepham High School's chapter of the National Art Honor Society held its annual induction ceremony recently, at which 38 students were inducted into the group.

The National Art Honor Society was established in 1978 for high school students to encourage them to attain their highest potential in all forms of art, and to raise awareness of art education throughout the school and community.

The honor society's standards require that all students maintain a 90 percent average in art class. Students must also submit an art portfolio, and be recommended by their art teachers.

The following Mepham students entered the society: Dena Asfour, Sali Ayinde, Saba Bakhitari, Dana Barrios, Val Batcher, Kaitlyn Bazarewski, Jessie Brandt, Mollie Bienstock, Kevin Chao, Marissa Cohen, Kasey Corona, Michael Dipace, Ashley Diresta, Kristen Ferrara, Andrew Ferris, Shannen Gaffney, Nicole Gomez, Sarah Herlihy, Ricky Jannotti, Maham Khan, Adam Koehler, Paolo Martorano, Kasey Motley, Erin Myers, Jeane O'Connor, Cristina Olson, Tara Panzarino, Sarah Rezek, Eddy Ruano, Dan Santos, Krystal Seditta, Kyle Scherer, Eric Schildt, Chris Shevins, Angela Simone, Brandon Singh, Anaztasia Ulysse and Joanna Wells.
