Working behind a defense led by Delloiacono, fellow senior Patrick Mancini and sophomores Jack Thomann and Eric Rawson, Donnelly made five saves in posting a shutout for the third time in four games. He made nine stops in a 3-0 win over Carey that saw Podias score twice, and seven saves in a 2-0 victory at Herricks as Podias and junior Harry Davis notched goals.

Losing Davis for the season due to a broken arm suffered last week is a blow to the offense, Delloiacono said. “Harry’s a goal scorer and we’ll miss him, but he’s rooting us on and that’s all we can ask.”
