The Merrick Chamber of Commerce brightened up the holiday season at this year’s Christmas tree and menorah lighting on Dec. 2.

The annual event drew locals from different organizations and areas of Merrick. Carolers sang holiday tunes, and residents shared sweets before members of the chamber lit the Christmas tree and menorah.

Both residents and local officials joined chamber and clergy leaders at the ceremony. Nassau County Legislator Dave Denenberg and Assemblyman Dave McDonough, both of Merrick, attended the event.
