Police seek grand larceny suspect

A man stole a wallet containing credit and debit cards and $400 at 7:48 a.m. on Dec. 29 at the Gulf gas station at Sunrise Highway and Merrick Avenue in Merrick, according to the Nassau County Police Department. Officials released surveillance camera images of the suspect last weekend. They said he left the gas station in a red van, which is visible in one of the images.
Authorities asked that anyone with information about the suspect or crime to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. Callers will remain anonymous. There is a reward of up to $5,000 for useful information.
