Camp Avenue School digs into science

Posted

Students at Camp Avenue Elementary School in North Merrick recently asked some tough questions:

Why are bananas by themselves in the supermarket?

Could the sun power a light bulb made from a recycled water bottle?

Could the sun power a fan located under an umbrella?

After some investigation, students presented their conclusions on these and other questions concerning the material world at the school’s science fair on March 30. They created displays and models showcasing their experiments and research, and they discussed their findings with teachers, parents and peers.
