Car slams into State Farm office

Merrick Fire Department volunteers responded to a car crash at 10 Merrick Ave. and Broadcast Plaza, in front of the State Farm office. A Honda ran up on the sidewalk and smashed into the building. Fire department workers quickly disabled the car battery as a safety precaution. No injuries were reported. A second car suffered minor damage.
