The case against Evan Sachs, 23, of Merrick has been adjourned to November 4, according to the Nassau County District Attorney’s Office.
Sachs was charged with second-degree attempted murder, first-degree assault and possession of a dangerous weapon after allegedly stabbing an 8-year-old boy five times in the back at Dave and Buster’s restaurant in Westbury last Friday.
The victim sustained a punctured lung and was rushed to a local hospital for emergency surgery, where he was listed in stable condition. He is expected to make a full recovery, according to police.
Sachs is a 2005 graduate from Calhoun High School.
