Giants take home North Bellmore-North Merrick championship

The North Bellmore-North Merrick Little League Giants captured the 2011 boys’ 10- and 11-year-old International Division Championship by besting the Cardinals 9-8 on June 18 at the Gunther Elementary School field. Above, top row, from left, were coach Paul Lanza, Max Klein, Marco Baez, Michael Madden, Kyle Bowers, Nick Shamenek and coach Dave Bowers; bottom row, Trevor Curtis, Haden Levine, Daniel Lanza, Scott Sieger, Bryan Miller, Feliz Perez and Andrew Terziario. Missing was Seamus Healy.
