“We like to stay local, since there are great service advantages,” said John Sorensen, who has been running the company with his brother, Ed, since the 1960s. Fred Reifler (Ed’s wife’s grandfather) founded Laco Service in 1926. He set out to provide the residents of Valley Stream oil burner installation and maintenance, and heating oil delivery. The name “Laco” was that of the manufacturer of one of the first oil burners in the ’20s.

Over the years, Laco Service has expanded to include cooling equipment. They provide complete central air conditioning services, from installations and upgrading to annual servicing. Their air conditioning specialist installs high quality systems, and makes sure each one continues to run smoothly and efficiently.

Additional services include preventive maintenance, service plans, and oil tank removal and installation. They offer budget plans with monthly payments, so customers won’t be surprised by unexpected bills.
