Levy-Lakeside School recently held its Founders’ Day celebration, honoring the dedicated members of the school’s Parent-Teacher Association.

Founders’ Day is a nationally recognized school holiday that recognizes the integral role that PTA members play in schools all across America.

At Levy-Lakeside, the ceremony honored current PTA president Jennifer Birke, PTA members Pamela Banks-Davis, Aimee Markowitz, Jennifer Wasserman, Traci Intravaia and Marge Suntup, sixth-grade teacher Jen Meschkow and music teacher Jeffrey Glemboski.

“It was a beautiful evening, honoring some wonderful people,” said Peri-Hoffer-Hinden, a PTA member. “The evening brought out some past recipients, some to speak, all to celebrate.”

The event was organized by PTA members Brooke Jones and Karenlynn Stracher. Additionally, the school honored its Reflections winners, and the night featured a performance by the fourth-grade chorus.
