More than 500 people, mainly families with young children, took part in the 2015 Spring Eggstravaganza on April 4 at Fraser Park in North Merrick.
A certain seasonal celebrity visited with 6-year-olds Alexander Nalbone, Kimberly Czarnesca, Hailey Dowd and Kathrine Nalbone.
Ava Palafox, 6, was decked out for the occasion.
Rubens Balmir gave a hand to his 2-year-old son, Angelo.

In a yearly rite of spring, hundreds of local children hunted for eggs and collected candy at the Eggstravaganza on April 4 at Fraser Park in North Merrick.
The North and Central Merrick Civic Association and Printing Emporium organize the annual event, which also included a visit from the Easter Bunny, arts and craft activities and a “matzos beach ball toss” in celebration of Passover. American Legion Auxiliary Unit 1282 members donated candy and ran the “Write a Card to a Soldier” table.
