Long Island Scottish Festival and Highland Games returns to Old Westbury Gardens

With bagpipes, caber tossing, and highland dancing, the Scottish Games is always a summer favorite at Old Westbury Gardens. This year’s event takes place, Saturday, Aug. 27, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

The Long Island Scottish Clan MacDuff, co-host of the event, offers plenty of action for all ages during this daylong festival. There are bagpipes galore, parades, concerts, dances, competitive games including caber tossing, kids’ games and more, along with Scottish treats to enjoy. So bring a picnic lunch, and be prepared to spend the day!
