Residents all over Merrick have adorned their houses with colorful Christmas lights, seasonal tinsel and inflatables of beloved characters just in time for the holidays. Under the cover of night, the Herald Life set out to find the most festive houses in the neighborhood to get into the spirit of the season.
A blanket of new-fallen snow gave us the perfect backdrop to capture the neighborhood’s decorative displays. A lollipop-lined walkway, extensive nutcracker collection and replica of the infamous leg lamp from “A Christmas Story” were some of our favorite finds, and we hope you enjoy them, too.
