Merrick Road Mobil station robbed

A Merrick Road Mobil gas station was robbed on July 5 at 7:20 p.m., Nassau County Police said on Tuesday.

According to officials, a man armed with a gun entered the gas station and demanded money. The cashier reportedly complied, handing him an undisclosed amount of cash and a pack of Newport cigarettes. Police described the suspect as 5-foot-7, thin, clean shaven and in his mid-20s.The robber ran south of Beach Drive, police said.
