The Merrick United Methodist Church will usher in Holy Week with worship on Palm Sunday, April 9, at 10 a.m. in the Sanctuary. The Sunday School will have a Palm Stripping Party at 9 a.m. in the Parlor where children will separate the palms into single strips in time for Morning Worship.

On Holy Thursday, April 13, a Maundy Thursday Love Feast will be held at 7 p.m. Holy Communion will be observed. At the conclusion of the service, the Altar will be stripped in preparation for Good Friday.

On Good Friday, April 14, we will have a prayer vigil from 9 a.m to 3 p.m in the Chapel. Our congregation will join with others in the Bellmore-Merrick area for a joint Good Friday worship service to be held at 7:30 p.m. at Bellmore United Methodist Church.

On Easter Sunday, April 16, the Long Island Council of Church’s Ecumenical Easter Dawn Worship will be held at 6:30 a.m. at Jones Beach, parking field 6. For information or questions, please call the LICC at (516) 565-0290. We will also celebrate the glorious resurrection of our Savior, Jesus Christ, with worship at 10 a.m. in our Sanctuary. Come and celebrate the Risen Lord!

We invite all our friends and neighbors to join us as we worship during this Holy Season.
