Merrick USTA team wins state championship

This past weekend, a U.S. Tennis Association team of women from the Carefree Racquet Club in North Merrick went 5-0 at the state championship in Syracuse and will now head to nationals in California Oct. 1 to 3. "This was such an exciting accomplishment for us, our club in Merrick and all of Long Island," said Annmarie Conniff, a player on the team.
