Nassau County Strawberry Fest coming this weekend

The Bellmore Kiwanis and Lions clubs are set to host the annual Nassau County Strawberry Festival this weekend.

The fun will begin with rides on the grounds of the BOCES School at Jerusalem Avenue and Newbridge Road on Thursday, June 2, from 6 to 11 p.m. It will continue on Friday, June 3, from 6 to 11 p.m.; on Saturday, June 4, from noon to 11 p.m.; and Sunday, June 5, from noon to 8 p.m.

As always, there will be plenty of strawberry desserts offered for a small charge. Admission on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights is $2, with children under age 2 admitted for free. Parking is free. All proceeds will go to local charities.
