North Bellmore-North Merrick softball squad wins championship

The North Bellmore-North Merrick Little League’s U10 girls’ fast-pitch softball team recently captured the District 31 championship, as well as placed second in the Section 6 championship. And there’s more –– the girls also placed second in the Glen Cove Mayors Trophy Tournament.
In alphabetical order, team members include Samantha Arcese, Mackayla Brown, Kara Castaldo, Kara Colgan, Kerri Donlon, Emily Fontanetta, Julia Linekin, Julia Losciale, Karlee Greco, Jamie McGovern, Erin Pfundstein, Samantha Stock, Julia Testagrose and Kelsey Vandewater. Coaches are Tom Castaldo, John Brown and Tom McGovern.
