Old Westbury Gardens hosts the Long Island Scottish Festival and Games

With bagpipes, caber tossing, and highland dancing, the Scottish Games continues to be a summer favorite that brings many visitors to Old Westbury Gardens where it is held every year. This year’s event is bigger and better than ever, as it’s now a two-day affair, on Saturday, Aug. 25, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., and Sunday, Aug. 26, 11 a.m.-5 p.m.

The Long Island Scottish Clan MacDuff, co-host of the festival, offers plenty of action for all ages: there are bagpipes galore, parades, concerts, dancing, competitive games (including caber tossing), Scottish regiment battle reenactments, and more, along with Scottish treats to enjoy. So be prepared to settle infor a bonny good time.
