Police: Merrick man reported missing

George Kirkendoll, 47, of Merrick, has gone missing, according to a Nassau County Police Department Silver Alert issued Friday.
Silver Alerts publicize information about individuals with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia or other cognitive disorders who go missing.
Police described Kirkendoll as an English-speaking African-American man, 5-foot-7, 162 pounds, with salt-and-pepper-colored hair and brown eyes. He was last seen at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at 1449 Sycamore Ave. in Merrick.
Kirkendoll needs medication, and he may be headed for Buffalo, according to police.
