The Enterprise goes home

The space shuttle ‘Enterprise,’ that flew from Washington to New York City, was placed on a barge at JFK airport on June 2 and was sent on its way to its new home in Manhattan at the Intrepid Sea Air and Space Museum.

The Enterprise made its way through Jamaica Bay, across Coney Island and underneath the Verrazzano Bridge as onlookers excitedly snapped photos.
