Police have arrested a Plainview man in connection with a Nov. 26 burglary in which two Bellmore teens were attacked in their garage with an aluminum bat while they were playing video games.

On Wednesday, police arrested Jake Lucas, 21, of Plainview, in connection with the incident. Previously arrested on Nov. 28 and 29, respectively, were Lauren Morales, 28, and Nicholas Laurenti.

According to police, Lucas, Morales and Laurenti, along with a fourth suspect, entered the Lakeview Road home's garage around 6:15 p.m. And began to punch and kick the two teens, as well as hit them in the body and face with an aluminum bat. They fled without taking anything and were later arrested.

The teenage victims suffered contusions to their faces and pain in their legs, but refused medical attention at the scene.

The fourth, unidentified suspect remains free, according to police.

Lucas was charged with first-degree burglary and second-degree assault, and was scheduled to be arraigned in Hempstead First District Court on Thursday.
