Hempstead Town Supervisor Kate Murray presented coach Steven J. Sheiner and the Oceanside National Little League with an official Town of Hempstead Citation and Certificates of Merit. The Oceanside National Little League has been bringing baseball to Oceanside since 1951. Pictured are New York Mets Pitcher Bobby Parnell, Chris Fiata, Michael Slappay, Ross Stuber, Anthony Marino, Peter Bell, Zachary Strandberg, Hector Quitin, Dylan Avellino and Steve Carrano.
