A soothing venue for more than a manicure

Posted

Still enjoying its grand opening, Bless Nail & Spa brings a soothing new venue to the Five Towns. This is a nail salon that offers a myriad of relaxing and beneficial, if not pampering, services.

Bless Nail & Spa's owner, Cindy Kim, lives in Flushing, Queens, with her two children. Partial to its "cozy, small town feeling," she chose Cedarhurst as the place to open her business. Only in town since November, she and her staff already find the community members to be warm and friendly.

Manicures with paraffin are extremely moisturizing and terrific for arthritis and dry skin, Kim points out. Her spa pedicures can include treatments with Green Tea, Raspberry or Pomegranate. Among the numerous nail services are Tip Sets, Silk Wraps, and UV Gel Permanent French Tips or White Tip Fill-ins. UV Gel Permanent is a technologically advanced product that protects and preserves natural nails, using a specialized UV lamp. The Gel increases flexibility and prevents nails from chipping and peeling.

Waxing is yet another option, be it for eyebrows, the lip, chin or other body parts. Massages can be full-body, in a chair or reflexology. There are many different packages and combinations to choose from, which include any of the services. The ambience of the salon is attractive, private and relaxing. All equipment used is sterilized.

Kim and her staff, who are all New York State licensed technicians, are congenial, creative and sensitive to their clients' needs. Many of the products they use are for sale, such as Essie and OPI nail polishes, sold at competitive prices.

Gift certificates are always available. Bless Nail & Spa is open Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
