Annual Fall Family Festival held in Island Park

The freak wintry storm that hit the area on Oct. 29 may have caused havoc on the roads, but it did not deter the spirits of Island Park children, their families and friends as they participated in the district’s Annual Fall Family Festival. The event was sponsored by the PTA and Recreation Department and held at Lincoln Orens Middle School. The wet weather forced the event indoors, where children of all ages participated in a variety of activities including pumpkin painting, crafting, face painting, and tattooing. There was plenty to eat as well as everyone enjoyed cotton candy, jumbo pretzels, hamburgers, hot dogs, ice cream and soda.
