A car accident at the intersection of Waukena Avenue and Brower Avenue sent one person to the hospital, according to the Oceanside Fire Department. Two cars were involved in the crash.
The accident happened on July 28 at 7:46 p.m. The Oceanside Fire Department responded with one engine truck, one ladder truck and two ambulances. The Nassau County Police Department also responded with an ambulance and squad cars.
One person with non-life-threatening injuries was transported to South Nassau Communities Hospital, according to Oceanside Fire Department spokesman Ed Scharfberg.
