Francis X. Hegarty Elementary School in Island Park held its annual Fire Safety Day on Oct. 7.
Members of the Island Park Fire Department came to the school and talked to students about fire safety and also what to do in case of a fire in their homes. They also took the students on a short ride on a fire truck.
