Despite the fact the holidays are over, there are still families in need.
The Oceanside Rotary Club recognized that fact and organized a food drive over the last few weeks. The group gathered the food at the Oceanside High School auxiliary gym on Feb. 10 to sort it.
There were mountains of canned goods piled high on the floor and seas of boxes of pasta. The boxes being used were stacked as high as the people who were filling them.
By the end of the night, the Rotary Club had enough food to feed dozens of families — more than 360 people. The food was delivered on Feb. 11.
