Hope Freed, 52

Hope Freed, of Oceanside, died on April 7. She was 52.

Devoted wife of Dennis, proud mother of Evan and Ryan, loving daughter of Harriet and Bernard Shurgan, cherished sister of Susan and Myron, daughter-in-law of Melvin and Babette Freed, sister-in-law of Jeff Kurtz, the late Elise Shurgan, Gary Freed and Andrew Freed, loving aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Hope was a wonderful friend who will be sorely missed.

Donations will be distributed to two charities of Hope’s choice: The Hope Freed Foundation, which will benefit educating children, and the Women to Women Organization at Mt.
