Mostly Cloudy Lincoln Orens students recognized for musical prowess

Lincoln Orens Middle School students John Speight and Monica Spinelli were selected by the Long Island String Festival Association to perform in a special concert, held at Plainview-Old Bethpage Middle School on March 6. The Long Island String Festival Association is a string teacher organization that sponsors activities to support string programs in public schools. Monica, who plays violin, and John, a cellist, joined elite string players from middle schools throughout Nassau County who were chosen for this performance.
