Mostly Cloudy Man hit while crossing Austin Boulevard

A man hit by a truck on Austin Boulevard on Nov. 17 shut down the road in both directions while police examined the scene.
According to detectives, a 41-year-old man was driving his 1996 Ford pickup truck southbound on Austin Boulevard in the center turning lane when a pedestrian walked in front of his car and was hit, causing a head injury.
The Island Park Fire Department transported the victim to a nearby hospital, where he is listed in stable condition.
Police say there was no criminality involved in the accident at this time. The vehicle passed all safety checks.
