No television? No problem

Televisions have become such a staple in American culture that it’s almost hard to imagine our lives without them.

But families of School 9E in Oceanside were able to find out what that would be like last week during the school’s annual Prime Time event.

Prime Time is something that happens in many schools and many districts. It encourages families to turn off the TV and spend time together, usually by reading. At 9E, students and their parents spent time in the gym reading together, and then broke off into groups for family workshops that revolved around making things together. And, of course, there was dessert.
