Mostly Cloudy Oceanside Kiwanettes honor Richie Woods

The Oceanside Kiwanettes held their annual fund raising dinner last week, honoring Oceanside author and teacher Richard “Richie” Woods.
Held at the Oceanside Jewish Center, the dinner is the Kiwanette’s main fundraiser during the year. The money the group raises is all funneled back into the community through charities, scholarships, help for seniors and as aid for the needy.
The evening also honored Woods, a local teacher and author with a second book on the way. Woods proposed to his wife, Wendy, a second time, saying that the first time he did it over the phone, and now he wanted to do it properly.
