Oceanside scout earns Eagle award

Nassau County Comptroller George Maragos congratulates Eagle Scouts Daniel Kaiser and Anthony Capellupo of Boy Scout Troop #332 as they are honored for achieving the highest rank in scouting. 

Daniel Kaiser’s Eagle Scout Leadership Service project involved refurbishing the storage areas of the East Rockaway Village Hall.  Daniel removed debris and old furniture, cleaned the floors, repaired and painted the walls, and did other work to clean up this basement space.

Anthony Capellupo conducted a landscaping project at St. Raymond’s School, where he replaced shrubbery and annual flowers.  He recruited and directed 33 fellow Scouts and volunteers to prepare the beds, remove dead and damaged shrubs, plant, mulch, add edging and rocks, and water the beds until the plants were established.
