It was a solemn morning at Oceanside High School, where veterans and local politicians gathered to honor those who gave all on Veterans Day. Members of the Chwatsky Farber Post 717, Jewish War Veterans gathered with New York State Assemblymen Brian Curran and Todd Kaminsky, and Nassau County Legislator Laura Curran spoke briefly. A bell was rung once for Oceanside servicemen that lost their lives in service to their country.
