The Oceanside Fire Department were called to 140 Atlantic Ave for a report of a cat trapped in a sewer. The cat had been missing for 17 days. When Chief Madden arrived he confirmed the cat was in the sewer and placed a special call for his truck company. People who lived in the area stated that they heard the cat meowing earlier in the day. Firefighter Danny Leboffs entered the hole and was able to rescue the cat, named Roscoe, and give the owner a Mother’s Day present.
