Twirlers demonstrate “country fun” during annual event

The Oceanside Department of Community Activities held their 52nd annual Baton Exhibition at Oceanside Middle School on April 17. The event, co-sponsored by the Oceanside American Legion Post #1246, is held every year as a showcase for children to demonstrate what they have learned about twirling. Elizabeth Wasek, who volunteers with the girls each week, performed a solo, while dancers from the DOCA Saturday program high-stepped to Hannah Montana. This year's theme was "country fun" and the girls' costumes reflected a cowgirl look.
