South Nassau Communities Hospital hosted its annual 5K walk and health fair on a warm late-October Sunday. The fair, which featured health and wellness exhibits, as well as free health screenings for prostate cancer and cardiac risk factors.
Entertainment included performances from Oceanside’s Shaolin Self-Defense Centre, Leggz, Ltd. Dance, the School of Rock and an array of fall-themed carnival games, pumpkin painting and food vendors.
Funds raised through the walk and fair will go towards supporting the hospital’s Gertrude and Louis Feil Cancer Center, which has expanded to incorporate multiple treatment centers in Oceanside and Valley Stream.
