Arrests

A resident of Maple Avenue, Rockville Centre was arrested on Jan. 1 and charged with criminal mischief, reckless endangerment and unauthorized use of a vehicle after an investigation at his residence.

A homeless taxi driver was arrested for aggravated unlicensed operation and VTL violations after an investigation in the vicinity of Sunrise Highway and N. Forest Avenue, Rockville Centre.

Burglary (attempt)

A resident of Winding Road, Rockville Centre reported on Jan. 2 that someone attempted to gain entry to his residence.

Larceny

The manager of Lakeview Auto Sales, 650 Sunrise Highway, Rockville Centre reported on Jan. 2 that someone stole a New York State dealer vehicle registration plate from a motor vehicle while it was parked in the lot of the business.

A resident of Oxford Road, Rockville Centre reported on Jan. 2 that someone stole his GPS device from his unlocked car while it was parked in the driveway of his residence.

A resident of Varick Court, Rockville Centre reported on Jan. 2 that someone stole $225 from a cabinet inside her residence.

A resident of Guy Lombardo Avenue, Freeport reported on Jan. 4 that someone stole her iPhone while at Starbucks, located at 21 N. Park Avenue, Rockville Centre.

A resident of Rockville Centre reported on Jan. 5 that someone stole his bicycle from the vicinity of the Long Island Rail Road Station on Front Street, Rockville Centre.

Property Damage

A resident of Morris Avenue reported on Jan. 2 that the driver side mirror of his 2004 Ford was damaged by unknown means while parked in front of his residence.

Property Lost

A resident of East Rockaway reported on Jan. 1 that his wallet and passport were lost while at the International Delight Café, located at 241 Sunrise Highway, Rockville Centre.

n An employee of Enterprise Car Rentals, located at 602 Sunrise Highway, Rockville Centre reported on Jan. 4 that two New York State dealer license plates were lost in the vicinity of the village.
