The Rec Center will be the site of the Rockville Centre Parks and Recreation Department's Annual Holiday Crafts Fair and Flea Market on Sunday, Dec. 2. There will be a large assortment of merchandise for your shopping pleasure. The fair will open to the public from 9:30 am to 4 a.m. and there will be free parking and free admission. Leggz Ltd. Dance to perform Nutcracker ballet

Leggz Ltd. Dance and the Rockville Centre Guild For The Arts is preparing to perform a full-length production of Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker from Dec. 7 to 9. The ballet is the only full-length Nutcracker on Long Island and will feature live music from the 70-piece, South Shore Symphony Orchestra. Performing as the Sugar Plum Fairy is Rockville Centre resident Kathleen Breen Combes. Combes is also a principal dancer with the Boston ballet. The production will also feature principal dancers from the Washington Ballet, Bolshoi Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, New York City Ballet, the Joffrey Ballet, Suzanne Farrell, Mark Morris, New York City Opera, Atlanta Ballet, Alvin Ailey, SanFrancisco Ballet, Carolina Ballet, Morphoses, Pacific Northwest Ballet, Broadways Movin’ Out and Jerome Robbins Broadway. This Nutcracker will also feature more than 100 young dancers from the greater metropolitan area.

The performances will be held on Friday, Dec. 7 at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 8 at 5 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 9 at 4 p.m. Tickets for the Nutcracker are $24 and $22 for those over 65 or under 12. Performances will be held at the South Side High School, 140 Shepherd Street, Rockville Centre. Those interested may call (516) 766-7171 for more information.

Tree of Life Yoga

Central Synagogue of Nassau County, 430 DeMott Ave., is again sponsoring a Fall session, with evening classes of yoga. The classes are open to yoga students of all levels. The Tree of Life Yoga will be offering a series of 12 classes, that began on Sept. 13, at 6:30 p.m. — a new day and time. You may pay as you go for $15 a class. Members of the community are invited to participate.
