Rockville Centre resident creates business-oriented television program
The Long Island Business Report, taped at Molloy College and headed by Rockville Centre resident Jim Paymar, premiered on Wednesday, Jan. 2. According to a press release from WLIW21, the New York public television station running the weekly half-hour program, the show will air on Wednesdays at 7 p.m., with reruns on Thursdays at 11:30 p.m. and Sunday at 9:30 a.m. The program will examine the economic and business trends that affect Long Island residents. Paymar, an Emmy-winning journalist, will interview business leaders and industry experts. Paymar, a former correspondent at CNBC and Business Week, is also the president of Paymar Communications, a media training, presentation training and consulting firm based in Rockville Centre.
