As they do every year, members of the Sandel Senior Center joined the Center Stage performers for a Spring Concert and Luncheon held this year on June 22.
The large performance group of about 40, under the direction of Frank Scafuri, regaled its audience with songs made famous by women singers. Members of the audience sang along to numbers by the chorus, and also to solos and duets. Senior Services Director Dr. Cyd Charrow brought down the house when she reprised her old cabaret act with “Cyd’s Lament,” about when she first moved to New York, ala “Adelaide’s Lament” from the classic Broadway musical “Guys and Dolls.”
