A place to reflect in Rockville Centre

Rockville Centre Mayor Francis Murray and Deputy Mayor Nancy Howard were on hand as Marianela Jordan, far right above, of the governor’s office arrived at the Recreation Center on Tuesday to supervise the installation of museum-quality artifacts, and the stories behind them, that are part of New York Remembers, a statewide recognition of the 10th anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks. The items will be on display beginning Aug. 29. The exhibit, which will be open on Sept. 11, with a live telecast of the ceremony at ground zero, will run through the end of September. It is designed to provide visitors with an intimate setting in which to reflect on the tragedy and honor the

victims.
