Last month, Covert School Principal Darren Raymar threw himself a birthday party and invited dozens of his favorite people.

Raymar, who turned 46 on Dec. 11, joined with the PTA to throw a party as a fundraiser for the Raymar Children’s Fund, which donates to the Covert community and Rockville Centre community at large. Since the school day was cut short due to parent-teacher conferences, parents were able to have their children stay at school longer and enjoy a pizza lunch donated by Parmigiani, as well as a party.

Because of the fundraiser, the Raymar Children’s Fund was able to give more back to the community during the holidays.
