Kids in West Hempstead, their parents and their teachers went all out for Halloween this year, dressing in costumes and staying in character on Friday at the Cornwell Avenue Elementary School or taking a spooky tour in the woods of Tanglewood Preserve in Lakeview on Saturday and Sunday. Tanglewood's Center for Science Teaching and Learning also put together a slightly less spooky indoor walk with displays for younger children, who also got to make their own spooky crafts.
