Academic achievers

Richard Morin, the son of Richard and Grace Morin , who is studying Psychology and Political Science at SUNY Cortland’s School of Arts and Sciences, was placed on the school’s Dean’s List for his work during the fall 2009 semester.

Lindsay T. Doris, who graduated from South Side High School in 2007, was placed on the President’s List for the fall semester of 2009 at the State University of New York College at Cortland.

Brian Laureano was named to the Dean’s List for the fall 2009 semester by the University of Connecticut.

Samantha Sembler, a member of Muhlenberg College’s class of 2011 who is majoring in theater and music, was named to the Dean’s List. Samantha, a graduate of South Side High School, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard G. Sembler.

Michael Waxman was recently inducted into La Salle University’s Alpha Epsilon Society, which recognizes high academic achievement and community involvement. Michael, a senior Psychology major at the Philadelphia school, was a PEER educator and involved with Habitat for Humanity.

Jessica Vercillo was named to the Dean’s List for her third straight semester at Boston College, with a 4.0 G.P.A. She is a 2008 graduate of South Side High School.

Dana M. McNamara was placed on the fall 2009 Dean’s List for her work at Coastal Carolina University in Conway, S.C.

Jennifer Ann Kelly was placed on the Dean’s List for the Decker School of Nursing at Binghamton University for her work during the fall 2009 semester.

Rebecca A. Mead, a Psychology major who is a member of the class of 2012, was named to the Dean’s List for the first semester at Saint Anselm College.
