Annual Guild for the Arts Gala a success

Last weekend, the Rockville Centre Guild for the Arts held its annual Gala, honoring people who contributed to the arts and helping to raise money for performances.

The Guild held its 36th Annual Gala at the Atlantic Beach Club on Oct. 10. This year, it honored Dr. Drew Bogner, president of Molloy college, as well as Fatima and Dr. Theirry Duchatellier. Bogner was honored for the support that Molloy College has given to the Guild, and the Duchatelliers were honored for being longtime patrons of the arts and the Guild.

The gala is also the largest fundraiser of the year for the Guild for the Arts, which puts on many performances during the year with the South Shore Symphony. In addition to playing at village events like the annual fireworks show, the Symphony plays many other shows. It will soon be playing at the Nutcracker Ballet.
