Teams from the Nassau County Department of Health fanned out to Rockville Centre’s seven schools on Dec. 18, administering H1N1 vaccinations to staff and students who requested it.
Eileen Kamhi, assistant superintendent for special education and support services, said 519 people were vaccinated. The health department teams will return in about a month to administer booster shots to children under 9.
