A witness at the scene said that the man, who was delivering produce to Churchill’s on South Park Avenue, was approached by an unknown man with a gun. The man ordered the driver into the back of the produce truck, removed the battery from his cell phone, and locked him in. The man then robbed the driver of the money he had. Patrons leaving the restaurant heard the driver banging against the side of the truck and yelling, and were able to free him.

As of press time Tuesday, no one has been arrested or charged.
